Stermer Sets New School Record In Day One of Potts Invite

Two Rams set new facility records in Boulder
BOULDER, Colo. – The Colorado State Track and Field team had a successful day one at the Potts Invitational hosted by Colorado Friday afternoon. Boasting one new school record, two new facility records and five first-place finishes, Colorado State's field athletes closed out their portion of the invitational on a high note.

Junior Celyn Stermer headlines the Rams as the pole vaulter broke her own indoor school record with a mark of 4.13 meters. Stermer placed first in the event and also set a new Colorado IPF facility record.

Also placing first and setting a new facility record was Mariano Kis in the shot put. The junior threw an 18.29m shot put, good for just over 60 feet.

On the women's throwing side, the Rams swept the podium in the shot put as Mya Lesnar, Gabby McDonald and Michaela Hawkins placed in the top three respectively.

Other first place finishers include Lexie Keller who finished first in the long jump and Jo-Anna Pinnock who finished her second consecutive meet on top of the podium in the triple jump.
