Women’s Golf Earns Top 5 Finish

Three Rams finish inside the top 10
BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – Colorado State women's golf picked up its second straight top 5 finish of the year on Tuesday claiming fourth at the Dale McNamara Invitational. CSU finished 2-under for the tournament firing a 1-over, 289 in the final round.
Three CSU golfers picked up top 10 finishes on the individual leaderboard in Andrea Bergsdottir, Soffia Torres and Lacey Uchida.
Bergsdottir, earned the highest spot of the group finishing the tournament at 3-under. She was even-par for the day with a trio of birdies. The graduate student shot even-par or better all three rounds.
Uchida was next in line for CSU to earn her second straight top 10 finish with a 1-under, 215. For the second straight round she shot a 2-under, 70. The Hawaiian had four birdies on her scorecard and nine for the tournament.
Torres did a good job on Tuesday recovering from an early triple bogey to finish the day with a 2-over, 74. She finished the 54-hole tournament at even-par to tie for 10th. Torres has finished in the top 10 all three tournaments this season.
Freshman Kara Kaneshiro led all Rams with 13 birdies for the tournament and earned a tie for 20th with a total of 218, for 2-over.
Colorado State wraps up its fall schedule at the end of the month when they head to Miami for the Hurricane Invitational October 30-31.
