Colorado State looks to continue three-game winning streak
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Colorado State volleyball team will continue its Mountain West conference play by hosting the Fresno State Bulldogs at home Thursday night before making the trip to Reno, Nevada to face the Wolf Pack of Nevada Saturday afternoon.

What You Need to Know
- The Rams currently sit third in the Mountain West standings at 5-3 with this week being the final week of round one in conference play. After this week, Colorado State will play each conference team one more time before the end of the regular season.
- Redshirt-junior Malaya Jones was named Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week after leading the Rams to a 2-0 week last week. She totaled 35 kills on the weekend including 11 kills in the fifth set against Air Force to defeat the Falcons 3-2.
- Colorado State is averaging over 3,500 fans at each home competition with only six more home games in the season including four in the next two weeks.
Scouting Opening Weekend
- Fresno State brings a 4-4 conference record into Moby Arena with wins over New Mexico, Nevada, San Diego State and UNLV. Three out of those four teams are mutual wins for the Rams. As a team, the Bulldogs rank third in total blocks and fourth in both service aces and opponent hitting percentage.
- The Bulldogs' duo of Grace Doyle and Brooke Cowie has been top tier for Fresno State. Doyle ranks sixth in the league in hitting percentage at a .321 average with 69 total kills while Cowie ranks fifth in total assists with 277, 8.94 per set. Fresno State does not have a front row player in the top ten of the conference in kills.
- Nevada boasts two conference wins so far this season against UNLV and San Diego State as the Wolf Pack started conference play on a six-game losing streak. They will play Wyoming Thursday before hosting the Rams.
- The Wolf Pack ranks in the bottom half of the conference in all major team statistics but boasts one of the top liberos in the league in redshirt-junior Hikialani Kaohelaulii who leads the conference in total digs with 138 and a 4.31 digs per set average.

Match Notes
- The Rams went 2-0 last weekend with a five-set win over Air Force and a three-set sweep over New Mexico.
- As a team, the Rams currently lead the league in hitting percentage and total kills with a team average of .276 and 13.32 kills per set. Last weekend, Colorado State hit at a .289 team efficiency.
- Middle blockers Naeemah Weathers and Karina Leber are huge parts of that efficiency as they rank second and fourth respectively in individual hitting percentage with Weathers hitting at a .393 average and Leber hitting at a .327 average. Both seniors had a double-digit kill game against Air Force Thursday night as well.
- Senior setter Emery Herman totaled over 100 assists last weekend including having a career-high game against Air Force with 58 assists. Adding 43 assists in only three sets against New Mexico, she just missing the top five in CSU history for assists in a three-set match. Herman has 799 assists total on the season and leads the Mountain West averaging 10.81 assists per set.
- Libero Kate Yoshimoto ranks third in the conference in total digs with 116 and a 3.74 digs per set average. She totaled 33 over the weekend at a 4.13 average in addition to boasting a .978 reception percentage with nearly 50 targets.
