BOISE, Idaho – Atop the Mountain West yet again.

For the first time since 2007, the Colorado State women's cross country program won the Mountain West Championship, led by first-place finisher Sarah Carter. Both individual and team championships are the second for the Rams.

Nearly leading from start to finish, Carter averaged a 5:18.6 mile, trailing just one runner at the 1-mile mark. From there she took the lead and never looked back. Teammate Quinn McConnell had a great pace throughout the race, moving up at each mark, including five spots in the from the 4k to 4.5k mark. Yasmin Austridge and Kensey May also did the same – pushing themselves into the top 14 to earn All-Mountain West honors.

On the men's side, Lars Mitchel paced the Rams with a 12th-place finish and earning an All-Mountain West nod for the second-consecutive season. The men finished sixth in the field.
