Colorado State and Boston College face off for the first time since 1988

KANSAS CITY – Colorado State men's basketball will be spending Thanksgiving Week in Kansas City playing in the Hall of Fame Classic. The Rams open the tournament on Wednesday against Boston College inside the T-Mobile Center at 11:30 am MT on CBS Sports Network.

Opening Tip
- Colorado State stretched its record to 4-0 for the third straight season last Friday with an 84-63 win over Kansas City.
- Head coach Niko Medved is in his sixth year leading Colorado State. He is 96-64 as the Rams' head coach. With four more wins he will become the fifth coach in program history to reach the 100 wins mark.
- Isaiah Stevens returns for his final year of eligibility and the nation is taking notice of the guard. Stevens was named the Mountain West Preseason Player of the Year, Wooden Top 50 Preseason List and one of 20 players named to the Bob Cousy Preseason Watch List.
- Stevens has a pair of double-doubles on the year and already reset one of his own records when he posted 14 assists against Wright State. He is averaging 16.8 points, 8.0 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game while shooting 59.0% from the field and 50.0% behind the arc.
- Newcomer Joel Scott extended his streak to 51 straight games reaching double figures scoring with his 12 points against Kansas City.  Most of his work came from the free throw line as he was fouled 11 times going 8-of-12 from the charity stripe. He is tied with Stevens as CSU's leading scorer with 16.8 ppg.
- Nique Clifford continues to make a big impact on the Rams scoring 13 points in Friday's win. All 13 of his points came in the second half after sitting most of the first with foul trouble. He is the team's leading rebounder with 7.5 per game and adding in 14.8 ppg.
- CSU's defense turned up the heat against UMKC forcing the Roos into 18 turnovers.
- The Rams lead the Mountain West in assist-turnover ratio (2.32), assists per game (23.2), effective field goal percentage (63.7%), fast break points per game (18.5), field goal percentage (55.2%), free throw percentage (82.5%), 3-pointers per game (9.5) and turnover margin (+4.2).
- Wednesday marks the first time Colorado State and Boston College have met since 1988. The previous two meetings have also been at neutral sites.
- Like the Rams, Boston College enters Wednesday's game 4-0.

Scouting the Eagles
Third-year head coach Earl Grant continues to build his Boston College program who enters this week with a 4-0 record.

The main focus of opponents when playing the Eagles is big man Quinten Post. He is averaging 19.5 points and 10.5 rebounds this season and coming off earning ACC Player of the Week honors for his performance last week.

Post has a pair of guards in Claudell Harris Jr and Jaeden Zackery who complement him well, both averaging double figures scoring as well.

Boston College does a good job of cleaning up their misses with 13.50 offensive boards per game and grabbing 42.0 rebounds a game.

What's Ahead
Colorado State will face either Creighton or Loyola Chicago on Thanksgiving at either 11:30 am or 2 pm depending on Wednesday's result.
