Rams Go Low, Earn Top 10 Finish

Davis Bryant picks up top 5 finish
TUCSON, Ariz. – While Green and Gold are the official colors for Colorado State, red was the official color for CSU men's golf on Sunday. The Rams saw a lot of it as they shot a 9-under, 279 in the final round of the National Invitational Tournament. The round helped CSU jump into the top 10 taking eighth place.
Three Rams finished the day under par in Davis Bryant, Christoph Bleier and Connor Jones. A fourth shot even-par in Rasmus Hjelm.
Bryant had the best round of the day for CSU with a 4-under, 68 to push him to 9-under for the tournament and a tie for fourth finish. Each round of the tournament he improved by a stroke going 70, 69, 68.
Bleier was just a stroke behind Bryant on the day with a 3-under, 69. The sophomore put a team-high seven birdies on his scorecard, coming out hot with back-to-back to start his round. He finished 4-under for the tournament earning a top 20 finish, tying for 16th.
Connor Jones put together his best round of the N.I.T. with a 2-under, 70. The senior made the turn at 3-under, teeing off the 10th hole and came home with eight pars and a bogey.
Colorado State returns to action March 27-28 at The Duck hosted by Oregon at the Eugene Country Club.
