Bergsdottir Opens Bama Bash Strong

Rams aim to seize opportunities the next two days
GULF SHORES, Ala. – Opportunities await the Colorado State women's golf team over the next two rounds of the Bama Bash at Gulf Shores Golf Club. CSU recorded just six birdies on the day to finish at 24-over 312, to be tied for eighth after the first round. The Rams sit in the middle of the pack for scoring on par 4s and 5s but were last in par 3s scoring of the 15-team field.
While Colorado State looks to convert their opportunities on Monday and Tuesday, one Ram had a strong opening 18. Andrea Bergsdottir shot a 1-over, 73 Sunday to be tied for third. She recorded nothing worse than a bogey on the day and had three birdies. Bergsdottir is three strokes back of Chantal Dueringer of Louisiana-Monroe.
Two other Rams sit in the top 30 after round one in Sofia Torres and Lacey Uchida. Torres is tied for 22nd with an opening round 77 and Uchida is tied for 27th after shooting 78.
