Trio of Men’s Golfers Earn All-Conference Honors

Christoph Bleier, Davis Bryant and Connor Jones make the All-Mountain West Team
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Colorado State men's golf trio of Christoph Bleier, Davis Bryant and Connor Jones earned All-Mountain West honors announced on Wednesday. For Bryant it is the third time in his career making the team, it is Jones's second and Bleier's first.
The three golfers have combined for two individual medalists, 10 top 5 finishes and 14 top 10s this season. Jones won both individual medalist honors winning the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational and Denver TPC Colorado Invite. Bleier tied for first in last week's Mountain West Championship, setting a conference tournament record, but came up short in the playoff.
Bleier leads the team with a stroke average of 70.87 this season and has twice matched the program record for the lowest round with a pair of 63s. Only twice this season has he finished outside the top 20 and is currently on a streak of three straight events with a top 10 finish.
Bryant has been consistent all year long, leading the team with 20 rounds of par or better this season. He barely trails Bleier with a stroke average of 70.97. The graduate has not finished outside the top 30 all year long with a pair of second place finishes to open the 2022-23 season.
Jones opened the year with a bang, winning two of the first three events the Rams played in and helping the team take the team title in all three of those events. His season stroke average is 71.03.
Colorado State heads to the Auburn Regional next Monday-Wednesday, May 15-17 as the No. 24 team in the nation. It is the second straight season they have reached a regional. CSU looks to make its first NCAA Championship appearance since 2011 as a team.
