Colorado State welcomes nine different opponents to Fort Collins in 2023
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Celebrating the 10th season in program history, Colorado State soccer announced its 2023 schedule on Wednesday. It features 20 matches in total with nine of them at home.
The Rams open the season with a pair of matches on the road against in-state foes. CSU makes the quick trip to Greely for an exhibition against Northern Colorado on August 11, before opening the season at Denver on August 17.
Colorado State's first home game is set for August 20th when Louisiana Tech comes to Fort Collins. The game will be held at the Canvas Stadium Practice Field. Colorado State's opening of the brand new soccer facility is scheduled to come on August 31 against UMKC. Originally scheduled to open at the beginning of the 2023 season, record rainfall during the late spring and early summer delayed the field's opening.
The rest of the home schedule features non-conference games against Utah and Utah Tech. The Rams open their Mountain West portion of the season at home as well when Nevada and UNLV come to town on September 21 and 24.
Following the game on September 24th, CSU will host its Futbol Fun Fest featuring games, interacting with the team, an Upper 90 Club BBQ and a kid's clinic. The kid's clinic costs $15 to register and $20 for the Upper 90 Club BBQ.
During conference play, the Rams also host Colorado College, Air Force, and San Diego State.
The 2023 regular season ends on October 26 with the Boarder War in Laramie. CSU aims to return to the Mountain West Championship held in Laramie, October 29 – November 4.
