Colorado State men’s golf will compete in the state of Colorado three times this season
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Coming off a return to the NCAA Championships for the first time in 12 years, Colorado State men's golf looks to make the time between trips much smaller entering the 2023-24 season. CSU will participate in 10 tournaments during the regular season, as head coach Michael Wilson and the program announced their schedule on Tuesday.
The Rams get to stay home for the first tournament of the year hosting the Ram Masters Invitational at Fort Collins Country Club on September 6 and 7. CSU is the eight-time defending champion of the event.
Colorado State will play in the state of Colorado three times during the fall competing at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational September 10-12 and The Simpson October 2 and 3.
Three tournaments from the spring 2022-23 schedule return to the Colorado State schedule this season in The Prestige (Feb. 19-21), Lamkin San Diego Classic (Mar. 4-5) and The Duck Invitational (Mar. 25-26).
Postseason play starts with the Mountain West Championship on April 26-28. The NCAA Regionals are slated for May 13-15 and the 2024 NCAA Championships will take place May 24-29 at Omni La Costa Resort in Carlsbad, Calif.
Colorado State has made the NCAA Regionals the past two seasons and qualified for the NCAA Championship last year. The team brings back a pair of All-Mountain West performers Christoph Bleier and Connor Jones. Both golfers have played well this summer, Bleier won the Austrian International Amateur Championship while Jones advanced to the Round of 32 at the U.S. Amateur.
