Christoph Bleier leads the Gene Miranda Falcon Invite; Rams sit in a tie for fourth
USAFA – Three days after completing their first tournament of the season, Colorado State men's golf returned to action on Sunday for day one of the three-day Gene Miranda Falcon Invite. Junior Christoph Bleier put together a bogey-free, 7-under, 65 on Sunday to sit in first place by two strokes and help the Rams be tied for fourth.

Bleier finished tied for fourth at the Ram Masters Invitational and is in a good position to start the Falcon Invite. The Rams teed off the 10th hole and he made his turn at 3-under with birdies on 13, 16 and 17. After stringing together five straight birdies, Bleier finished his round with four birdies over the final five holes.

He enters tomorrow's second round with a two-shot lead.

Freshman Jake Rodgers also sits in the top 25 of the 120-player field tied for 24th shooting a 1-over, 73 Sunday.

CSU is tied for fourth on the team leaderboard with Gonzaga at 4-over. They trail Valparaiso by seven strokes entering the second round.

The Rams will once again play with Valparaiso, Cal Poly and Northern Iowa on Monday. They will start teeing off at 8 am off the first tee.
