Colorado State will run at the 37th annual Roy Griak invitational for the second consecutive season

FORT COLLINS – It will be a familiar place – all places will be this season. Colorado State will return to the Twin Cities to compete at the 37th annual Roy Griak Invitational on Friday morning hosting by Minnesota. The Rams competed last season at the Griak, both posting fourth-place finishes.

USTFCCCA Rankings
Colorado State will face a handful of teams ranked in the latest USTFCCCA National Coaches Poll this week at the Riak. The men will run against #29 Cal Baptist and #9 Portland, with Gonzaga also receiving votes. The women are ranked #29 this week in the poll and will look to move up after racing against #19 New Mexico and #24 Utah.

Regional Rankings
Colorado State women are #7 in this week's USTFCCCA Mountain Regional Rankings and will race against #4 New Mexico, #5 Utah and #10 Wyoming in the rankings. The men are ranked #8 and will see region ranked #7 Wyoming and #9 New Mexico.
 
Coming Back
Colorado State is no stranger to the Roy Griak Invitational. The Rams competed a season ago with both teams finishing in fourth place. On the men's side, there are three runners who ran in last year's race – Lars Mitchel, Mason Brown and Tom Oates who led the squad finishing 11th last year. For the women, Quinn McConnell and Sarah Carter are the lone returners, with Carter leading the team a season ago with an 8th place finish.
