Michaela Hawkins breaks personal record in women’s weight throw
LINCOLN, Neb. – The Colorado State men's and women's track and field team competed in two separate meets over the weekend. The Rams hit the road back to Fort Collins with 33 Rams placing third or higher. Saturday, the Rams competed at the Mark Colligan Memorial Invitational host by the University of Nebraska against four other teams.Â
Michael Hawkins once again moves up in the Colorado State record book. She now sits at No.9 in women's weight throw after achieving a mark of 19.66 meters in the Mark Colligan Invite.  Â
Mya Lesnar placed first in women's shot put with a mark of 18.15 meters. She continues to lead the nation with her performance at the Mines Alumni Classic in December. Â
Ryan Birkmeier also broke his personal record in the men's mile. At the Mark Colligan Invite, he ran the mile in 4:10.61 minutes, just milliseconds faster than his previous time. Â
