Rams open final fall tournament
SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The team picked up a trio of victories on the first day of the San Diego State Fall Classic, with sophomore Logan Voeks involved in a pair of them.

She and doubles partner Viktoryia Zhadzinskaya advanced for the Colorado State women's tennis team in the Black draw in doubles, then Voeks cruised in her opening-round match in the Black singles draw, winning in straight sets. The duo posted a 6-4 victory over a team from St. Mary's, while Voeks' 6-4, 6-3 decision moved her past Nevada's Marlene Foerster.

The Rams picked up a second singles win when Victoria Erechtchenko beat Stanford's Morgan Shaffer 7-5, 6-2 in the Silver draw.

The team continues play Saturday in both singles and doubles when action begins at 10 a.m. Fans can follow the action through a live stream, with scores posted at the conclusion of matches.
