Rams Pick Up Road Win In Fresno

Five Rams score in double figures in the win
FRESNO, Calif. – The elusive road conference win is no more. Colorado State men's basketball picked up a 73-61 win over Fresno State Saturday night to improve to 17-5 on the year and 5-4 in Mountain West play.
It was a team together effort with five guys finishing in double figures scoring as big men Patrick Cartier and Joel Scott led the team with 14 points.
Up six at the half, Colorado State opened the second half by outscoring the Bulldogs 14-5 to go up 15 and never look back. Fresno State cut the lead to single digits, but never more than within seven points.
A pair of Scott and a Josiah Strong three put the game away down the stretch.
Game Notes
- Joel Scott tied for the team's leading scorer on the night with 14 points adding in six rebounds and a career-high-tying six assists.
- CSU shot 52.8% on the night including an impressive 60.7% in the second half.
- Patrick Cartier (14), Nique Clifford (12), Isaiah Stevens (12) and Josiah Strong (10) all reached double figures scoring.
- The Rams forced 12 Bulldog turnovers leading to 16 points.
- Colorado State held Fresno State to no offensive rebounds in the second half after they had six in the first.
What's Ahead
Colorado State returns home for a White Out on Tuesday against Boise State at 7 pm. It's the first of two home games that week for the Rams.
