Colorado State women’s golf sits in fifth place after round one
NEW ORLEANS – Colorado State women's golf begins its spring break in the Big Easy, not for fun, but on a business trip. The Rams and 16 other teams teed off the first round of the Tulane Classic on Sunday at the English Turn Golf & Country Club. CSU sits in fifth place through 18 shooting a 14-over, 302.
Sisters Panchalika and Pemika Arphamongkol led the way on Sunday shooting matching 2-over, 74s. They are tied for 17th on the leaderboard. The two had very similar scorecards both recording three bogeys and a birdie.
Sofia Torres had the third-best round of the day for the Rams with a 4-over, 76.
Colorado State enters Monday's second round 11 shots off the lead held by Notre Dame at 3-over.
CSU along with Columbia and Howard will tee off the second round starting at 6:54 a.m. MT Monday. Live results can be found on GolfStat.
