Stevens Named First-Team All-Mountain West

Clifford a third-team selection by coaches
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Considered to be one of the best point guards in the nation, Wednesday's news came as no surprise.

In voting conducted by the league's coaches, Colorado State graduate student Isaiah Stevens was a first-team All-Mountain West selection for the second consecutive season the conference announced. The Allen, Texas product has been recognized all five years of his career, being named Freshman of the Year as well as an honorable mention selection in 2019, following up with second-team honors in 2021 and 2022. Stevens is the only person in Mountain West history to earn All-Conference honors five times.Â

Teammate Nique Clifford was a third-team selection.

With 2,296 points, Stevens is the school's career leader in points scored and second in the Mountain West behind Jimmer Fredette. With his 836 assists, he not only stands as Colorado State's men's assist leader, but also for the Mountain West.

Stevens ranks among the league leaders in scoring (15.4 points per) and tops the list in assists per game at 7.2, a figure which ranks sixth nationally. His 218 assists this season rank fourth in the nation.

In his first season in a CSU uniform, Clifford led the team in rebounding, averaging 7.3 per game (ranking sixth in the conference), while sitting tied for second in scoring at a 12.5 per outing clip. The Colorado Springs product led the team with 46 steals, with his 84 assists second to Stevens.
Stevens, Clifford and the rest of the Rams will tip-off the Mountain West Tournament on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. MT/1:30 p.m. PT against San Jose State in Las Vegas.Â
