Jones Picks Up Another Top-Five Finish

Rams place ninth in talented field
PAUMA VALLEY, Calif. - Colorado State men's golfer Connor Jones picked up his 10th top-five finish of his Ram career at the Pauma Valley Invitational tying for fifth on Tuesday.

Jones shot below-par every round going 68-70-70 for a 5-under 208. He finished four strokes back of Oklahoma State's Jonas Baumgather. Over the 54-hole tournament, Jones bogeyed just three holes compared to nine birdies. Jones tied for the tournament lead with 41 pars.

Colorado State finished ninth shooting an 8-over 860. The field included top teams Vanderbilt and Oklahoma State, among others.

Christoph Bleier was the next highest finishing Ram, tying for 34th.Colorado State continues to ramp up for the Mountain West Tournament when they head to Oregon for The Duck Invitational March 25-26.
