CSU men’s basketball defeats Air Force 82-73
COLORADO SPRINGS – Colorado State men's basketball ended the regular season with an 82-73 road win over Air Force. The Rams took care of business with a consistent effort all game long.
The host Falcons came out hot hitting five of their first seven threes and building a 10-point lead with just under six minutes left in the first half. Isaiah Stevens took over after that for the Rams.
Stevens hit back-to-back 3s and scored 15 of CSU's final 21 points of the half. He went into the locker room with 22 points as the team's were even at 42.
An early 10-0 run in the second half helped Colorado State go up by five and they never looked back.
A consistent inside game was key for CSU in the second half as they scored 18 points in the paint and lived at the free throw line, mainly Joel Scott. Scott attempted 11 free throws in the second half.
Up by as much as 10 at the midway point of the final 20 minutes, CSU's lead never grew to lower than seven the rest of the way.
