Rams to Participate in Four-Day Weekend

Colorado State will split up position groups to compete over four days starting Wednesday
FORT COLLINS – The Colorado State track and field multis will be heading to Wichita State to compete in the decathlon and heptathlon while the rest of the Rams gear up to take on the Colorado Invitational in Boulder, Colorado. Â
What you need to know:Â
- The Wichita State Multi event will be hosted by Wichita State at Cessna Stadium. Â
- The men's decathlon will start Wednesday at 12 p.m. with the 100-meter dash followed by long jump, shot put, high jump and the 400-meter dash. The women's heptathlon will start at 12:30 and include 100-meter hurdles, high jump, shot put and 200-meter dash.Â
- Both events will continue over to Thursday starting at 11 a.m. The men will start with the 110-meter hurdles, while the women will start with the long jump.Â

- The Colorado Invitational is hosted by the University of Colorado and will take place at Potts Track in Boulder on Friday and Saturday.Â
- Friday's field events will start at 2 p.m. with the women's hammer throw and men's javelin throw. Followed by the women's javelin throw and the men's hammer throw.Â
- The men's 3000-meter steeplechase, men's and women's shot put, triple jump, women's high jump and women's pole vault will all start at 11 a.m. on Saturday.Â

Meet Notes:Â
- Kajsa Borrman was named Mountain West Women's Freshman Athlete of the Week after her career-best performance in the women's hammer throw with a mark of 62.06 meters. With this mark, she moves to No.8 in Colorado State history. Currently, she ranks 23rd in the nation so far this season.Â
- Freshman Kyle Bigley placed twice on the podium out of the three events he competed in. He placed first in shot put with a mark of 18.13 meters. In the discus throw, he achieved a second-place position with a distance of 52.83 meters. With 46.09 meters, Bigley placed 11th in the hammer throw.Â
- Graduate thrower Michaela Hawkins is also coming off a first-place performance. She achieved a mark of 58.89 meters in the discus throw. She was followed by teammate Klaire Kovatch.Â
- Neya Jamison will also be coming off a successful weekend. She placed first in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.15 seconds. In the 400-meter hurdles, she placed second with 59.38 seconds.Â
- Other Rams with first place podium finishes include Ben Randall who placed in the men's 5000-meter run with a time of 14:53.21. Quinn McConnell finished in the women's 1500-meter run with 4:28.21. In the men's 400-meter hurdles, Jack Wetterling finished with a time of 53.33. He was followed by teammate Carsen Bruns with a time of 53.50.Â
- Tyler Colwell finished first in the men's 200-meter dash with 21.03 seconds. In the men's 3000-meter steeplechase, Ben Kirbo achieved a time of 10:04.47. In men's high jump, Hari Brogan finished with a height of 1.98 meters. Â
- Maria Kimpson achieved a height of 3.85 meters in pole vault. On the men's side, Sam Mrky achieved a height of 4.57 meters. Taye Holker achieved a distance of 5.85 meters in the women's long jump. Mali Stermer finished the women's triple jump with 11.41 meters. On the men's side, Allam Bushara achieved 15.60 meters. Â
- Mariano Kis led the Rams in the men's discus throw with a distance of 53.81 meters. He was followed by Jackson Morris (53.58m) and Kyle Bigley (52.83m).Â
