Connor Jones ties for fifth place
CRESWELL, Ore – Colorado State claimed third place at the Mountain West Championship with a 2-over 290 on the final day. The Rams finished behind New Mexico and San Diego State who ended up in a playoff to determine the champion. SDSU won on the first playoff hole.
Connor Jones earned a tie for fifth in his final Mountain West Championship. The Westminister native shot a final round 2-under 70 to finish 4-under overall. He started day with back-to-back birdies making the turn at 2-under. He added another on the 10th and finished even on the back.
Christoph Bleier finished tied for 13th overall at even par. He shot a 4-over 76 in the final round.
Colorado State now awaits to see if it will earn a spot in the NCAA Regionals when the NCAA Selection Show airs on Wednesday, May 1 at noon on the Golf Channel.
