Andrea Bergsdottir picks up her fourth top 5 finish of the year
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – There was no raining on the Rams parade Tuesday at a wet and cool Council Fire Golf Club as Colorado State fired off an 8-under, 276 to close out the Chattanooga Classic. The round was the best of the day and tied for the second-best of the tournament. As the only team under par, CSU shot up the leaderboard to finish tied for fourth.
Andrea Bergsdottir picked up her fourth top 5 finish of the year with a final round 68. It was the best individual round of the day for Colorado State as four of the five Rams shot under par. She finished the tournament at 1-under to tie for fifth. After opening her day with a bogey, Bergsdottir went on without another blemish adding in four birdies, including her final two holes.
Kara Kaneshiro and Pacnchalika Arphamongkol both went 2-under on the day to finish tied for 23rd and 27th, respectively. Sofia Torres was the other Ram to finish the day under par with a 1-under, 70. She was one of the golfers tied with Kaneshiro for 23rd.
Colorado State takes the momentum of the final round with them to the Mountain West Championship next week, April 16-18, in Rancho Mirage, Calif.
