Colorado State turned the ball over 20 times in the loss
SAN DIEGO – The consistent and relenting defensive pressure from San Diego State was too much for Colorado State to handle on Tuesday night as the Rams fell to the Aztecs 75-60.
CSU turned the ball over a season-high 20 times leading to 22 SDSU points.
Facing one of the top 2-point defenses in the nation, 10 of CSU's first 11 shots on the night came from behind the arc with the Rams connecting on four of those attempts.
CSU trailed by nine with three minutes left in the first half but cut the deficit to three before a banked in 3-pointer before the buzzer made it a 35-29 game at the break.
Jalen Lake led the Rams at the break with 11 points and finished the night with a team-high 15.
The second half was about the turnovers as San Diego State turned the Rams over 13 times. Those turnovers allowed the Aztecs to slowly build up on their lead going up by as much as 20 with 4:23 left.
Colorado State tried to make a late run scoring eight straight points to cut it to 12, but it was too little too late.

CSU heads north of the border on Saturday to take on rivals Wyoming at 2 p.m.
