Rams Ready for Spring Season

Women’s tennis will take on Montana and Colorado this weekend
FORT COLLINS – The spring campaign begins now.

Colorado State's women's Rams will kick off the spring dual season with a home match against Montana on Friday (3:30 p.m.) at the Fort Collins Country Club. It is the first of eight home matches this season, the first three in non-conference play.

"We are excited to kick off our spring season. Â There are many new factors, and we are in a discovery mentality," coach Mai-Ly Tran said. "We are trying new doubles teams, building off the fall and we have newcomers who will be competing in their first spring season."Â
Â
Coming off of the fall, the two leading singles players are freshmen Mariya Dobreva and sophomore Logan Voeks, who went 8-5 and 9-3, respectively. Â

Colorado State will have a live stream and live scoring for the match against the Grizzlies.
Â
To finish off the weekend, the Rams will travel to Boulder to face Colorado at 2 p.m. MT on Sunday, Â

Tran said she is excited to see what the team is capable of in this weekend's matchups as the team comes off an 11-12 season a year ago, but one where they reached the semifinals of the Mountain West Championships for just the third time in program history.
