Opening Tip
- Colorado State moved to 2-1 in Mountain West play with a dominant 72-50 win at San Jose State on New Year's Eve.
- The 50 points in a game and 15 in the first half by San Jose State were an opponent season low. Along with the 29.5% shooting the Rams held the Spartans to.
- Nique Clifford recorded his seventh double-double of the season with 22 points and 10 rebounds. It was his fourth 20-point game of the year.
-  Clifford is averaging 16.8 points, 10.4 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game.
- He is one of two players averaging at least 15.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game this season joining Auburn's Johni Broome.
- Clifford is leading the nation with 8.86 defensive rebounds per game and 12th for total rebounds at 10.4.
- He was selected to the preseason All-Mountain West team after earning third team honors last season.
- Rashaan Mbemba grabbed a career-best eight rebounds in the win to go with his 12 points.
- Over the past five contests, he is averaging 10.8 points and 5.0 rebounds shooting 74.2%.
- Jalen Lake reached double figures scoring for the 11th time this season with his 12 points.
- Lake is averaging 13.4 points on 44.4% shooting including 34.5% from behind the arc this season.

- Evans is averaging 9.1 points and 2.7 assists per game in his last nine games and shooting 45.2% (14-31) from behind the arc in the past seven.
- Head coach Niko Medved is in his seventh year leading Colorado State. He is 125-81 as the Rams' head coach. He has the second most wins in program history trailing only Jim Williams (1955-80) and his 352.
- He became the fifth coach in program history to reach 100 wins in Fort Collins last year.
- Medved is the only coach in program history to win 20-plus games four times.
- He picked up his 200th career win in November with the Rams' overtime win over TCU.
- The Rams welcome 10 new faces to the program in 2024-25. Six are transfers, and four are true freshmen.
- The program's all-time leading scorer and assists leader, Isaiah Stevens has moved on to professional basketball after exhausting his eligibility. He signed a two-way contract with the Miami Heat on December 26 after a strong start to the year with the Sioux Falls Skyforce.
- Stevens helped the Heat to a 2024 Summer League Championship.
- CSU has two players currently in the NBA or G League with David Roddy (Atlanta Hawks) and Isaiah Stevens (Miami Heat/Sioux Falls Skyforce).
