RAM TALK
- The Week That Was: Colorado State continued to roll in the early part of the conference season, earning a pair of double-digit wins at home. Sisters Hannah (16 pts, 18 reb) and Emma (24 pts, 7 reb) Ronsiek combined for 40 points and 25 rebounds to lead a solid win over San Diego State on Wednesday, while the Rams dished out 25 assists in a convincing 87-51 win over San Jose State on Saturday.
 - Double Trouble: Emma Ronsiek and Brooke Carlson teamed up to claim both weekly Mountain West awards as Ronsiek (22.0 pts, 6.5 reb) was named player of the week and Carlson (10.0 pts, 6.5 assists) was named freshman of the week. Ronsiek scored 22 of her 24 points to lead the Rams in a win over San Diego State on Wednesday, and followed it up with a 20-point, six-rebound performance against San Jose State on Saturday. Carlson was electric in the Rams' win over the Spartans, scoring 13 points and dishing out a career-high eight assists. Colorado State remains the only team to have earned MW Player of the Week multiple times this season, claiming it on four separate occasions.
 - Game Breaker: Emma Ronsiek has been one of the most well-rounded players in the country this season with her ability to impact the game in multiple ways. Ronsiek is one of only eight players nationally to average 19.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists against Division 1 opponents this season, joining the likes of JuJu Watkins (USC) and Hannah Hidalgo (Notre Dame), and is the only forward with such numbers. According to HerHoopStats, Ronsiek's averages against DI opponents rank in the 98th-percentile or better for minutes (36.3), points (19.5), FGs (6.9), 3FGs (2.8).
 - Make It Rain: Colorado State has been on fire from 3-point range this season, converting 36.8% of their attempts from deep which leads the MW and ranks 25th nationally. The 3-pointer has been a large part of the Rams' offensive gameplan as they make an average of 8.9 shots from deep per game, which is also tops in the league and 22nd nationally. Graduate seniors Emma Ronsiek and Hannah Simental have been lighting it up from deep as Ronsiek leads all MW players with 41 triples (24th nationally), while Simental ranks sixth with 29.
 - 60's The Limit: Colorado State has been one of the top defensive teams in the Mountain West, holding opponents to just 35.6% shooting from the field (first in MW, 22nd nationally) and are holding teams to just 58.6 points per game (first in the MW). 60 has been the target number for the Rams defensively as 10 of their 12 wins this season have come when holding their opponents below that number.
 - Protect The Rock: The Rams do a lot of good things, but one of their secrets to success is actually something they DON'T do: Turn the ball over. The Rams have led the nation in fewest turnovers per game in each of the last two seasons, coughing it up only 9.1 times per game in 2023-24. Despite the new-look roster, that trait has passed down to this year's squad as the Rams are giving up an average of just 9.4 turnovers, which leads the country once again. The Green and Gold are one of just two teams in Division I to average less than 10 turnovers per game.
 - Sisters Are Serving: Sisters Emma and Hannah Ronsiek have lived up to the hype of their reunion thus far as they have been the Rams' top-two scorers and rebounders this season. Emma is scoring 18.2 points to go with 5.8 boards per game while also leading the team in assists (3.3 per). Meanwhile, Hannah is averaging 10.1 points and 6.3 rebounds per game and leads the Rams in steals (1.4).
