Jorgensen Picks Up Weekly Honor

Dominant opening week earns Kyle Jorgensen the Mountain West Player of the Week
FORT COLLINS – Sophomore Kyle Jorgensen had a dominant opening week for Colorado State men's basketball, earning him the Mountain West's Player of the Week honor. The Minneapolis native averaged 20.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.0 steals as he helped the Rams open the Farokhmanesh Era 2-0.
In addition to the impressive counting numbers, he did so efficiently scoring 40 points on just 17 shots. He shot 64.7% from the field while reaching the free throw line 17 times, making 15 of them.
Jorgensen scored, at the time, a career-high 15 points to go with nine rebounds and four assists in the season-opening win over Incarnate Word. He followed it up with a 25-point performance and another nine rebounds against Omaha on Sunday. Fifteen of his 25 points came in the second half of the win.
Jorgensen and the Rams return to action on Wednesday night when they host Cal Poly at 7 p.m. inside Moby Arena.
