Colorado State continues to control two seed in Mountain West

LAS VEGAS – After going down in the first set, Colorado State earned well deserved comeback win against UNLV with a four-set thriller. With career milestones and a strong offense, the Rams pull away with their second win of the week.

Colorado State (3) – UNLV (1) – (23-25, 25-17, 25-22, 25-19)
  • Colorado State bounced back after not securing a lead in the entirety of the first set, responding with the same effect back, keeping the lead throughout the entirety of set two, not backing down for the remainder of the match.
  • The Rams controlled the second set from start to finish, with Halle Jameson controlling the offense with 13 total kills.
  • The second set also confirmed Erin Debiec's career milestone, achieving 1,000 career assists after 28 assists by set two. Debiec finished the match with 43 total assists and 16 digs, good for her 12th double-double of the season.
  • In the third set, the Rams and Rebels went head-to-head, with a competitive back-and-forth with six lead changes. Two crucial kills by Jameson in the late end of the set, and a stuff block from Brenna Rowland to earn set-point allowed the Rams to take the advantage in the match.
  • Colorado State sealed the match with a 25-19 win in set four, led by another standout frame from Wilson, who led the offense for the Rams throughout the match with 15 total kills, ending the match with a .481 hitting percentage. With 18 of the Rams' 80 total points, Wilson continued to show her strength for Colorado State's offense.
  • Maria Brun also delivered a double-digit kill night for the Rams as CSU hit .301 overall as a team. Brun finished the night with 11 total kills and two blocks to help the Rams pull away with the win.
  • Karsyn Fetzer led the Rams with 17 digs, while Debeic contributed 16 to help control the defense and keep the Rams on top.
