Director of Athletics John Weber and Interim Head Coach Tyson Summers issue statement

As a result of the unsportsmanlike conduct of spitting on opposing players during the second half of the football game at Boise State, Colorado State Interim Head Football Coach Tyson Summers and Director of Athletics John Weber have suspended Redshirt Freshman Quarterback Darius Curry and Redshirt Senior Offensive Lineman Liam Wortmann for the final football game vs. Air Force on Friday, November 28, 2025.  "After having a chance to review the film following the game, I want to apologize to the Boise State football players, Coach Danielson, and everyone at Boise State University", said Interim Head Coach Tyson Summers.

"These actions are unacceptable.  We are all regretful for what occurred last night, and on behalf of everyone at Colorado State, I want to apologize to the Boise State Football Student-Athletes, Director of Athletics Jeramiah Dickey, Coach Danielson and the entire Boise State Football program", said Director of Athletics John Weber.

While no penalties were assessed, these actions did not meet the Athletics Department's and football program's vision, mission, and standards of sportsmanship.
