Emma Ronsiek Named MW Player of the Week

Forward led Rams to two road wins.
FORT COLLINS – For a league-leading fourth time this season Colorado State's Emma Ronsiek has been named the Mountain West Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.

Ronsiek averaged 20.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game to lead the Rams to two MW road wins this past week, helping CSU maintain its second-place position in the conference standings.

The forward did it all in a 69-63 win at New Mexico on Tuesday, scoring 16 points to go with eight rebounds and five assists in front of a national television audience. To cap off the week, Ronsiek posted 24 points and six rebounds to beat Boise State, 67-61, while shooting a perfect 12-for-12 at the free-throw line which matched the best shooting performance from the line in program history.

Colorado State is back in action this week with two games in the home state. The Rams take on Utah State in Moby Arena at 11 a.m. on Wednesday (Feb. 12) for Education Day, then travel to Colorado Springs for a rematch with Air Force on Saturday (Feb. 15).
