Colorado State’s late comeback effort falls short

LOGAN, Utah  – Early turnovers and a 3-point barrage from Utah State was too much to overcome for Colorado State as they fell to the Aggies 93-85.
 
How It Happened
  • Utah State jumped out fast making their first seven 3-pointers to go up by 20 seven minutes into the game.
  • Down 23, Colorado State went on a 12-2 run just inside four minutes left in the half and trailed by 15 at the break.
  • The Rams turned the ball over nine times in the first half leading to 19 Utah State points.
  • USU kept the lead at 15-18 points most of the second half until CSU made a late push cutting it to 10 points with 1:30 remaining.
  • The CSU deficit reached single digits inside the final minute, but USU made its free throws down the stretch to hold on the the win
 
Game Notes
  • Nique Clifford picked up his 11th double-double of the year with 24 points and 16 rebounds adding in three assists.
  • Jaylen Crocker-Johnson reached double figures scoring for the fourth time in five games with 17 points.
  • Kyan Evans was the third Ram in double figures with 14 points to go with four rebounds and three assists
  • The 93 points by Utah State are the most by any CSU opponent this season
  • All nine Rams to play in the game scored at least three points and made a field goal
