Three Rams finish in Top-25 of conference tournament

RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. – The Colorado State women's golf team finished fourth overall at the Mountain West Championship, hosted at Mission Hill Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California, on April 15-17. The Rams finished +28 as a team, as Kara Kaneshiro led the Rams with a fifth-place individual finish.

Mountain West Championship | Team Finish: 4th
  • Leading the way for the Rams was Kaneshiro, who notched her fifth top-ten finish of the season playing +3 overall. She totaled eight birdies, including four in round one, her best round of the tournament, which she finished one under par. Kaneshiro fought her way through the top of the leaderboard the whole tournament, notching a top-five finish for the third time this season.
  • Finishing 14th for the Rams was senior Katie Stinchcomb. Stinchcomb finishes her career as a Rams strong with her highest Mountain West finish. She played her best round in round three, shooting +1 and finishing with five birdies overall.
  • Jacinda Lee finished 23rd for Colorado State. Lee performed her strongest round on day one, playing +3 in both opening rounds and totaling two birdies. Lee also competed in rounds two and three, finishing +4 and +6, respectively, adding four birdies throughout the tournament. Lee completes her freshman season as a strong foundation moving into the future for the Rams.
  • Pemika Arphamongkol competed in the first and third rounds, finishing +2 in both rounds she competed in. While only competing in two rounds as a sub inhibited her ability to place as an individual finisher, both her scores from round one and round three contributed to the Rams' team score on those respective days.
  • Lacey Uchida played in rounds two and three, with her score contributing to both team scores on the respective days. Uchida finished +3 in round two and +4 in round three, with four birdies overall as she caps off a great senior season for the Rams.
  • Rounding things out for the Rams was freshman Ebba Thalen, who competed in rounds one and two, with her score from round two contributing to the Rams' team score after finishing +3. Thalen finished with three birdies on the week, adding all three during round two of the tournament.
