Lexus Bargesser joins Rams’ back court.
FORT COLLINS – Colorado State women's basketball has landed Big Ten transfer guard Lexus Bargesser, head coach Ryun Williams announced on Wednesday.
Â
Bargesser is a 5-foot-9 guard from Grass Lake, Mich., and spent the first three seasons of her career at Indiana, playing 90 total games during her time as a Hoosier. She played an important reserve role for Indiana, averaging 19.7 minutes per game across her final two seasons. A proven winner, Bargesser helped lead IU to a 74-23 (.763) record during her time.
Â
"Really excited to get Lexus in a Ram uniform," Williams said. "She's a very athletic, talented basketball player who has played at the highest level. She's guarded the best players in the country from Caitlin Clark to JuJu Watkins to Britt Prince at Nebraska. She's very competitive and is going to help our basketball team. We know we're getting a winner and are excited to get her to Fort Collins."
Â
During her time in Bloomington, Bargesser lifted her team to three appearances in the NCAA Tournament – including a Sweet 16 appearance in 2024 – while also helping the Hoosiers claim a Big Ten regular season title as a freshman in 2023. Her top numbers at IU came during her sophomore campaign as she averaged 4.2 points, 2.8 assists and 0.9 steals while playing 21.7 minutes per game.
Â
Bargesser was a prolific prep player for Grass Lake High School who led her team to a 2021 Michigan High School Athletic Association Division 3 state championships while averaging 23.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 3.8 steals. A consensus four-star prospect, the guard was rated as a top-75 recruit by Collegiate Girls Basketball Report (48), All Star Girls Report (53) and ESPN (67) despite missing her senior season due to an injury.
