COLORADO STATE SCHEDULE (all times MT)
Thursday, June 12
- 2:30 p.m. Women's Hammer Throw (Kajsa Borrman)
- 7:10 p.m. Women's Shot Put (Mya Lesnar)
- 1:30 p.m. Women's Discus (Klaire Kovatch)
- Mya Lesnar enters Nationals as the favorite to win the women's shot put competition as her season-best mark of 19.60 meters/64-3.75 clears the competition by more than two feet. Lesnar – who won the indoor shot put national title in 2024 – is looking to become the first Ram to win an outdoor event title since Loree Smith won the hammer throw in 2005, and the sixth Ram to win outdoor gold overall.
- Kajsa Borrman sits 15th nationally in the hammer throw entering the championships with her top mark of 67.27/220-8. Borrman has showcased a great ability to perform under pressure in her last two competitions, needing a mark on her third throw to advance to the finals in the Mountain West Championships and then qualifying for Nationals on her final attempt at the NCAA West Regional.
- Klaire Kovatch is making her return to the NCAA Championships, having finished 21st in the discus at the 2023 installment in Austin, Texas. Kovatch has started big in her last two meets, winning the Mountain West Championship with her first throw of the event while qualifying for the national championships on her second attempt at regionals.
