Ag Day, Orange Out Receive Game Time

Colorado State will open Canvas Stadium against Northern Colorado on Sept. 6 at 5:00 p.m.
 FORT COLLINS – Colorado State's home football schedule is getting closer to completion as the home opener and Ag Day against Northern Colorado on Sept. 6 will kick off at 5:00 p.m., MT and will be broadcast live on Altitude Sports, Altitude Plus and the Mountain West Network. The Ag Day and Orange Out home opener is presented by Canvas Credit Union and sponsored by Nutrien and Chevron.Â

The announcement finalizes the games that Colorado State have discretion over. The three other remaining games – UTSA, UNLV and Air Force will await game times set by FOX Networks with a 12-days out window.

"A 5:00 p.m. kickoff is ideal. Ag Day is an important tradition at Colorado State University," Director of Athletics John Weber said. "Starting with the Nutrien Ag Day Barbeque in Ram Town, we will once again celebrate our Aggie roots and agriculture and the incredible producers throughout our great state. I can't wait to see Canvas Stadium painted in pumpkin and alfalfa on Saturday, September 6."

Ag Day is a long-standing tradition and celebration of Colorado agriculture and CSU's College of Agricultural Sciences. Colorado State is proud to host the Nutrien Ag Day BBQ in partnership with Colorado agricultural partners from around the state. This tradition honors both the institution's roots and Colorado's rich agricultural history in a celebration that appeals to all ages.

"Ag Day is one of the most exciting traditions of the fall, and we're thrilled to welcome our partners and friends back to campus for the Nutrien Ag Day BBQ," said Carolyn Lawrence-Dill, Dean of the College of Agricultural Sciences. "Sharing a meal produced by Coloradans, connecting with the people who power our state's agriculture, and supporting our students all in one place—it's a perfect reflection of our land-grant roots and the spirit of CSU. There's nothing quite like it."

The CSU soccer program will be in action during the week, hosting Northern Colorado on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m., at the CSU Soccer Field. The Rams will also host UC San Diego on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.

The football program is coming off one of the more successful seasons in 2024, winning eight games for the first time since 2014 and were bowl eligible. The Rams also sold out four-of-seven home games during the season, including an attendance record of more than 40,000 against Colorado. CSU looks to continue its home-field advantage, holding a 10-3 record in Canvas Stadium the past two seasons.
