Rams Wrap Up Season Opener at Badger Invitational

Kaneshiro picks up where she left off last season
FORT COLLINS - The Rams finished the three-day Badger Invitational hosted by Wisconsin on Tuesday afternoon at University Ridge Golf Course in Madison, ending the first tournament of the 2025-26 season for Colorado State's womens golf team and marking the start to two new Ram careers. Colorado State played +38 and finished 10th overall while Kara Kaneshiro led the Rams shooting even par on the tournament and finishing tied for 10th individually.
Badger Invitational | Team Finish: 10th (+38)
- Picking up where she left off after a individual regional bid last season, Kaneshiro finished the tournament playing even and tied for 10th overall in a field of 81. She shot 1-under in the second round with four birdies and led the team in total birdies with 10.
- Close behind Kaneshiro was sophomore Ebba Thalen, who ended the tournament in 17th and shot 4-over overall. Her third round was her best round of the tournament, where she shot even with two birdies and 14 pars.
- Inje Natchanun and Kara Lee both finished their first tournaments as Rams on Tuesday afternoon. Natchanun placed 63rd individually shooting 18-over while Kara Lee finished 66th shooting 19-over. Natchanun shot all seven of her birdies in the third round of competition, finishing strong with a 1-under-par round including four birdies in a row on holes 9-12. Kara Lee also carded five total birdies.
- Sophomore Jacinda Lee finished out the tournament in 74th and shot 10-over. She recorded her best round on the first day with a score of +5.
Up Next: The Rams come back to Fort Collins to host the Ptarmigan Ram Classic on September 22-23 at Ptarmigan Country Club.
