T&F/XC alumni celebration to be held at historic facility on Oct. 10

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State track and field/cross country is celebrating the 100th year of the Glenn Morris Field House with an alumni event on Oct. 10 at the historic facility.

Built in 1924, the Glenn Morris Field House was later named after Colorado State Olympian Glenn Morris, who earned the title "World's Greatest Athlete" after winning the decathlon at the 1936 games in Berlin, setting a world record with 7,990 points.

The field house has been the home to Colorado State track and field for decades, helping produce champions both on and off the stage of competition.

Colorado State is inviting program alumni to celebrate the facility's 100th Birthday with an event on Oct. 10th from 4:00 p.m.-6:30 p.m. The event will include guest speakers and provide guests the opportunity to interact with coaches and administrators, as well as current Ram student-athletes.

Registration is $100 per person and includes appetizers, two drink tickets, as well as one complementary ticket to the CSU football game vs. Fresno State that same night. All proceeds from the event will go to support the CSU Track & Field/Cross Country program.

Everyone interested in attending must register ahead of time using the following link: http://csura.ms/GMFH100.
