Colorado State Falls in Five-Set Thriller to Oregon

Rams battle back against Ducks in third five-set match of the week
FORT COLLINS – The Colorado State volleyball team fell to the Oregon Ducks Saturday night in a five-set thriller to wrap up a four-game week two of season.
Colorado State (2) – Oregon (3) – (20-25, 18-25, 25-17, 25-19, 9-15)

Up Next: The Rams will return to Fort Collins for week three of the regular season hosting East Texas A&M Thursday night before hosting Notre Dame Friday night in Moby Arena's annual White Out game. Both games will be at 6 p.m.
Colorado State (2) – Oregon (3) – (20-25, 18-25, 25-17, 25-19, 9-15)
- The Rams fell behind in their first fourth game of the week, dropping the first two sets to the Oregon on the Ducks' home court, while also maintaining momentum to stage the comeback needed to go all five sets.
- In the third set, the Rams took a commanding lead with a seven-point service run by Erin Debiec. Eve Wilson was also a big difference maker for the Rams in the third, hitting at a .600 clip with three kills while Colorado State as a team hit .414 on the set.
- In the fourth set, the Rams continued to outhit the Ducks with freshman Halle Jameson and Wilson both hitting over .500 in the set. Kekua Richards, who made herself known on the blocking side of the match totaling seven on the night, also hit at a impressive .714 clip going 5-7 without an error in the fourth.
- Colorado State saw the momentum switch again to start the fifth set, and this time not in their favor. Falling 15-9 in the fifth set.
- Wilson, Richards and Jameson all totaled double-digit kills on the night while Debiec rounded out the night with 40 assists and two service aces.
- Libero Aine Doty led the defensive charge with 18 digs.
