BOULDER – Colorado State capped off its first event of the season Saturday at the CU Potts Invite. Track events took the stage in what was a season debut for a number of CSU athletes.Â

- The morning started at the 60-meter hurdles, with four Rams competing in the finals on the men's side. Freshman Owen Langdon claimed first place with a time of 7.82, a personal best and a mark that sits as the fourth best in school history. Following him was Northern Arizona transfer Trenton Givens who ran a 7.87, placing him in a tie for sixth all time. The women's side saw a pair of Rams finish at the top with Neya Jamison running an 8.62 to finish first. In second came sophomore Grace Lanfear whose 8.65 serves as a PB and a top-20 time in the record book. Â
- The 60 meters displayed more dominance from the Rams with Alora Tortorelli Cruz finishing just shy of first place. The men's side saw Tyler Colwell continue his dominance finishing in the top spot (6.78), while freshman Wilkins Perchina came in just behind, recording a personal best and a top 20 time in program history (6.80).Â
- Kenny Capenter blazed in the 400-meter finishing just shy of the top spot and setting a personal best of 47.25. Carpenter now sits behind teammate Travis Turner at fifth all-time in the event. The women's side saw Lanfear and Jamison show out again this time finishing first and second, respectively. Lanfear set another personal best at 55.80 and now holds a top 15 time in CSU history.Â
- Ethan Mann claimed the top spot in the men's 800 at 1:51.48, while the women's half saw Brookyln Ewert come in second and Jaycee Williams in third. Williams set a personal best of 2:13.75 and moves into the top 15 for the event. Â

- The Rams get back to work next week at the Colorado Invite (Jan. 23-24). The meet is once again hosted by Colorado Â
