Colorado State claims award in back-to-back weeks

FORT COLLINS – Colorado State track field received its second Men's Mountain West Freshman of the Week award, curtesy of Owen Langdon.

The Austin, Texas, native has been a rocket this season, setting a personal best in back-to-back weeks and winning the 60 hurdles on both occasions.

Langdon's mark of 7.72 sits as the second-best mark in school history, only behind Cole Nordman who set the school record just last season.

The freshman ranks first in the MW and is a top five freshman nationally; he currently sits just outside of the indoor national qualifying range.

Looking Ahead
Colorado State track and field has added a meet this week in the form of the Mines Winter Classic (Jan. 30-31). This event will be strictly throwers, with the shot-put taking place on Friday and weight throw on Saturday.
