CSU Earns No. 3 Seed in MW Women's Basketball Tournament

Rams finish tied for second, tiebreaker sets the course as No. 3 seed

FORT COLLINS – As the dust settles on another Mountain West women's basketball regular season, Colorado State will be the No. 3 seed in the upcoming Credit Union 1 Mountain West Women's Basketball Championship in Las Vegas.
 
The Rams finished 15-5 (.750) in MW play, their best conference win percentage since the 2016-17 season. CSU finished in a tie for second place in the conference standings with UNLV, but was awarded the third seed as determined by tiebreakers.
 
The Rams will take the court on Sunday (March 8) at 8:30 p.m. MT in the quarterfinal round after earning the first-round bye. CSU will play the winner of No. 6 Grand Canyon and No. 11 Utah State, who play Saturday at 8:30 p.m.
 
Each of the first three rounds of the MW women's basketball championship will be broadcast on the Mountain West Network, with Tuesday's 7:30 p.m. final being nationally televised on CBS Sports Network.
