Mike Schiavone began working with Colorado State University athletics in June of 2017, serving as the primary athletic trainer for men’s basketball, women’s tennis, and men’s golf.

Schiavone is a graduate of West Chester University, graduating in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in athletic training.  He began his career and an intern and then graduate assistant at the University of Florida, obtaining a Master of Science in applied physiology and kinesiology.  While at UF, Schiavone served as the athletic trainer for men’s tennis and assisting with men’s basketball.  After three years at UF, Schiavone became an assistant athletic trainer for the Army West Point football team for two years.

Schiavone holds additional qualifications as a Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES), Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) and the Fascial Abrasion Technique.

He is an active member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association (NATA).
