CSU shoots 78.3% in the second half

PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas – Colorado State men's basketball rode the tidal waves of a hot shooting offense in the second half to roll past South Florida in the Battle 4 Atlantis 83-68. The Rams scored 50 points in the second half shooting 78.3% from the field.

Josh Pascarelli had a night to remember scoring 28 points including a perfect 8-for-8 behind the arc in the win.

His performance started right away as he scored nine of the Rams first 12 points all from behind the arc to give the team an early 12-9 lead. The Rams lead grew to as much as nine near the end of the first half, once again thanks to Pascarelli's personal 5-0 run.

USF fought back after that to cut the CSU lead to four at the break.

In the second half, Nikola Djapa set the tone for the Rams with back-to-back layups before the Pascarelli show really took over. The next three times down the court the New Yorker buried a triple each time to put CSU's lead form two to 11.

The game stayed within two possessions until CSU went on a 14-0 run midway through the second half to go up 17 and never look back. The Rams hit four 3s during the run, two from Pascarelli and one each from Jase Butler and Kyle Jorgensen.
