Rams Tidal Wave Bulls in Second Half

CSU shoots 78.3% in the second half
PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas – Colorado State men's basketball rode the tidal waves of a hot shooting offense in the second half to roll past South Florida in the Battle 4 Atlantis 83-68. The Rams scored 50 points in the second half shooting 78.3% from the field.

Josh Pascarelli had a night to remember scoring 28 points including a perfect 8-for-8 behind the arc in the win.

His performance started right away as he scored nine of the Rams first 12 points all from behind the arc to give the team an early 12-9 lead. The Rams lead grew to as much as nine near the end of the first half, once again thanks to Pascarelli's personal 5-0 run.

USF fought back after that to cut the CSU lead to four at the break.

In the second half, Nikola Djapa set the tone for the Rams with back-to-back layups before the Pascarelli show really took over. The next three times down the court the New Yorker buried a triple each time to put CSU's lead form two to 11.

The game stayed within two possessions until CSU went on a 14-0 run midway through the second half to go up 17 and never look back. The Rams hit four 3s during the run, two from Pascarelli and one each from Jase Butler and Kyle Jorgensen.

Game Notes
- Pascarelli tied for the fourth most 3-pointers in program history with his eight. He finished the game with 28 points, three off his career-high, adding in two rebounds, two assists and two steals.
- Jevin Muniz had a career-high 10 assists in the game. The senior did a little of everything for CSU with 10 assists, seven points and six rebounds.
- Carey Booth extended his streak to eight straight games reaching double figures scoring with 16 points on Friday. The junior added in six rebounds, two assists and a block.
- The Rams had 23 assists on 30 makes. The second highest amount of assists this season.
- Colorado State became just the second team to hold USF under 90 points this season. The Bulls came into the game 94.7 points per game.

Colorado State returns home to host rival Colorado next Saturday, December 6 at 3 p.m. MT.
