Adam Parsons joined the Colorado State Strength and Conditioning staff August of 2019 and was tasked with working with Softball and the Track & Field programs.

In his first year with the Rams, the men's indoor Track & Field program won its second-straight Mountain West Indoor Championship and third-straight conference title in all. The women's squad finished third at the conference meet in Albuquerque. He worked closely with thrower Tarynn Sieg who swept the throwing events (shot put and weight throw) at conference and was set to compete in the NCAA Championships before COVID-19 canceled the event. Sieg was later named USTFCCCA All-American for being in the field. Additionally, multi-event student-athlete Amelia Harvey was recognized as the NSCA Athlete of the Year for the pentathlon and heptathlon category. Harvey, a senior, finished her Ram career in the top five for indoor pentathlon, long jump and triple jump, while also being fifth in the outdoor heptathlon despite not competing in her final outdoor season due to COVID-19.

Prior to CSU, Parsons worked in the same capacity at South Dakota State University since November of 2013, directing all efforts with Women's Soccer and Track & Field, while also serving as lead assistant for the Football program. In Brookings, he also spearheaded the department's social media, coordinated the internship program, and had a hand in nutrition education.

Before his time in Brookings, Parsons spent six months further up north at University of North Dakota where he designed and implemented programs for Track & Field and Swimming & Diving.

Parsons graduated with a Master's degree in Sport Administration from the Belmont University in 2013. While studying in Nashville, Parsons acted as a graduate assistant for the Bruins, working with Baseball, Men's Soccer, Men's Tennis, and the Track & Field program.

Upon furthering his education, Parsons tallied three internships in between his undergraduate and graduate degrees. Before Belmont, he spent eight months at Oregon State (WBB, MBB, FB, SB, VB, Crew) after a four-month stint at Simon Fraser University (FB, MSOC) and five months at Washington State University (MBB, WBB, MGolf, WGolf).

The Cougars was a close landing spot for Parsons after completing his Bachelor's degree in Human Kinetics at The University of British Columbia ('10), located in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

Parsons is a member and certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the National Strength & Conditioning Association. He is recognized as a member and Certified Sports Performance Coach by USA Weightlifting and is also a member to Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association.

Parsons and his wife, BreeAnn, reside in Fort Collins with their puppy, Milo, acquired during the puppy boom of quarantine.Â
