(Cross Country): Competed in one meet and won it, the 8K at CWU Winter Invite.
(Indoor): Did not compete.
(Outdoor): Appeared in seven meets including the GNAC Championships...Varsity letterwinner...Recorded PRs in the 3000mS and 5,000m at conference with fourth and eighth-place finishes, respectively...Clocked a 4:01.83 in the 1,500m for a PR at the Ken Shannon Invite....Won the steeplechase at the Buc Scoring Invite and the Seattle U/Seattle Pacific meet.

Sophomore (2019-20)
(Cross Country): Competed in five races...Represented the third Seattle Pacific scorer at conference, finishing 27th for the team's fifth-place finish...At the NCAA DII West Regionals, finished 112nd as the third scorer again in the 10K for the team's 19th-place finish.
(Indoor): Did not compete.
(Outdoor): Placed 5th in the 3000 meters at the season-opening Ed Boitano / Puget Sound Invitational with a time of 9 minutes, 5.38 seconds...Rest of the season canceled because of the coronavirus.

Freshman (2018-19)
(Cross Country): Did not compete.
(Indoor): Placed 11th in the 5000 (15:55.18) and 16th in the 3000 (9:07.02) at the GNAC Championships...Both of those times were PRs. ...Made his college debut at the Cougar Indoor in Pullman, running those same two events, posting a 6th-place finish in the 5K...Ran in three meets...Mile PR of 4:27.42 came at the Seattle Pacific Final Qualifier.
(Outdoor): Earned varsity letter...Placed a point-scoring 8th in the 3000 steeplechase at the GNAC Championships with a 9:37.96 after coming into the meet seeded a non-scoring 10th...Also ran a PR in the 5000 at GNAC, finishing 19th...His first college outdoor race was the 3000 steeplechase at the season-opening Ed Boitano / Puget Sound Invitational on March 2 in Tacoma – and he won in 9;47.13 ...In three of his four steeples after that,. he set PRs: 9:45.10 at the PLU Open on March 9 in Tacoma, 9:39.88 at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic on March 28 in Hayward, Calif., then his GNAC time in Monmouth, Ore...Posted a then PR of 4:08.12 in the 1500 in the regular-season finale Ken Shannon Invitational at Husky Track on May 4.

Attended Issaquah HS...Three-time XC letter winner, two-time track and field letterwinner...Team Captain 2017 & 2018...Named Second Team 4A Alll-KingCo Conference in 2016...Moved steadily up the ladder in the 3200 meters at the Kingco Championships, placing 15th as a sophomore in 2016, 11th as a junior in 2017, and 10th as a senior in 2018...Likewise in the 1600, was 13th as a junior and 11th as a senior...Won the 1600 in a dual meet against Newport as a senior...2017-2018 Issaquah Rotary Student of the Year...2017-2018 Vice President, Associated Student Body...2017-2018 Issaquah School District Board High School Representative...2018 Scholastic Leadership Award...2018 Scholastic Work Ethic Award...2017 Scholastic Leadership Award...2017 Scholastic Integrity Award...Son the Kim and Rod Putney...Rod played soccer in college.
