(Indoor): Competed in two meets... Set a personal record in the 55m dash at the Wyoming Power Meet with a time of 6.87.
(Outdoor): Did not compete.

HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL
Attended Huntley Project HS...At the 2021 MHSA Class A-B State meet, finished sixth in 4x400m relay and 4x100m relay while also 12th in the 400m..At the 2021 Southern B/C Division round, placed sixth in 400m, fourth in the 4x100m and 4x400m relays...At the 2021 District 6C/4B meet, finished seventh in the 200m, third in 400m, second in 4x100m, and third in 4x400m relay...Had no junior season in track due to COVID-19 cancellation of season...Helped lead Huntley Project HS to a team title in 2019...Within that team title, he was a part of the 4x100 and 4x400m championship teams with the latter also obtaining a school record of 3:23.84...Finished fourth in the 400m as well with a time of 49.95 for the school record...On the all-time school list, he is sixth in the 100m and 200m, second in the 4x100m, and fourth in high jump...Had back-to-back knee injuries after his sophomores year...As a freshman, he finished fourth in the 400, 16th in the 100, 12th in the 200 and was a part of the team's second-place 4x400m relay team...Also played basketball and football...Son to Jay and Jami Burns...Father, Jay, used to race sprint cars including time with the World of Outlaws...Sister, Megan, also competed in track at Huntley Project HS...Named Academic All-State...Earned High Honor Roll.
