Clint Sintim

Clint Sintim came to Colorado State in February 2025 and was previously at Illinois as the outside linebacker coach for the 2024 season. Prior to the Fighting Illini, Sintim spent the previous four years as a defensive coach with Virginia. He coached the Cavaliers defensive line and linebackers while in Charlottesville. Before returning to this alma mater, Sintim spent three seasons at Delaware and Richmond, coaching on the defensive side of the ball.
During his time playing in Charlottesville, he led the NCAA in sacks by a linebacker his final season, finishing with 11, including 70 total stops with 13 TFLs. His first season with the Cavaliers he earned Freshman All-American honors and the ACC Defensive Freshman of the Year. Sintim was drafted by the New York Giants in the second round of the 2009 NFL draft. He played two seasons in New York, before a knee injury sidelined him for the 2011 and 2012 campaigns. He was part of the Super Bowl 2012 championship before announcing his retirement as a player in 2013.
After his NFL playing career, Sintim spent the 2014 season with the West Alabama Tigers as the outside linebackers coach and assisted with special teams as part of the NFL Players Association Coaching Internship Program. Prior to the 2016 season, Sintim took part in the NFL Minority Internship Program and worked with the Washington Redskins during their preseason camp. emphasis in management.
