Ram Sports Update: Nov. 3

Football- Record: 3-5 (2-2 MWC) The Ram football team fell to New Mexico over the weekend, 26-17. The Rams take on undefeated Mountain West Conference foe Utah in Salt Lake City on Saturday, Nov. 5. The game will be televised on ESPN2 at 7:45 p.m MST.
Volleyball- Record: 19-2 (10-1 MWC) Last weekend the Ram volleyball team won six straight games defeating SDSU and UNLV. The Rams travel to Wyoming Nov. 5 and then face third-ranked Nebraska in Lincoln, Neb. on Nov. 7th. Ram Volleyball looks to avenge their 1-5 record against the Huskers.
Cross Country- The Rams returned from the MWC Championships in San Diego with a second- place finish for the women and a fourth- place finish for the men. Five women and three men ran to top- twenty finishes. They compete next Nov. 13 at the NCAA Regionals at Fort Collins? Collindale Golf Course.
Swimming and Diving- Finishing first at the Early Bird Invitational, the Ram swimming and diving team started the season strong. This was their seventh Early Bird Invitational championship. They also traveled to the Rice Invitational and fished fourth with 15 top five finishes. They compete Nov. 12 against Colorado in Moby.
Men?s and Women?s Basketball- After two weeks of practice, the Ram basketball teams look forward to competitive play this weekend. The women?s first exhibition game is Friday night in Moby Arena against Western State at 7:00 p.m. The men?s first exhibition is against Northern State on Saturday, Nov. 7 at 3:00 p.m. in Moby Arena.
Men?s Golf- The Rams wrapped up their season in San Diego, Calif. on Oct. 25. They finished fourth at the Barona Cup. They will continue in February when they travel to Honolulu, Hawaii to compete in the John Burns Intercollegiate.
Women?s Golf- The women?s golf team is still playing at the Las Vegas Founders Collegiate in Las Vegas, Nev. They currently are sitting sixth and will continue play through Wednesday, Nov. 3.
