Rams Sit in 11th at Heather Farr Invitational

The Colorado State women's golf team sits in 11th place after the first two rounds of the University of Colorado Heather Farr Memorial Invitational at Broomfield's Omni Interlocken Resort Monday.
Sophomore Megan Chapman sits in a tie for 10th place with a four-over 148 including a second-round 70 Monday. Fellow sophomore Chelsea Benton recorded a 153 and is in a tie for 34th in the tournament.
Freshman Kelly Brotherton, in her first collegiate tournament, registered a 158 while Amber Ward and Krystina Gillenwater carded a 160 and 161, respectively.
Stefanie Ferguson, competing as an individual for CSU, also shot a first day total of 161.
"Tomorrow is another day," commented CSU head coach Angie Hopkins. "Megan Chapman played great today. We're looking for her and the rest of the team to step up tomorrow and have a good day."
The University of Denver leads the tournament with a 595 while Colorado's Maria Persson-Gulda and Idaho's Renee Skidmore lead the tournament individually each shooting even-par 144s.
The tournament concludes Tuesday with the third and final round beginning with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
