Colorado State University students traveling to the Rams' Dec. 22 Poinsettia Bowl game with Navy have a chance to attend the game at a discounted price.

The school's student government and athletic department officials said CSU students, beginning Thursday, can purchase a ticket to the game for a $10 discount on a limited time basis.

"One of the most exciting elements of the bowl experience is student support. This offers CSU students the chance to attend the game and purchase a ticket at a reduced rate," said Director of Athletics Mark Driscoll.

To purchase a discounted ticket, students must download a voucher from CSURams.com, or pick up a hard copy of the voucher beginning Thursday at the information desk in the Lory Student Center.

Vouchers must then be redeemed at the CSU athletic ticket office in the McGraw Athletic Center.

Athletic department officials said travel packages for students - either via airline or land packages - are available by calling New Horizon Travel in Fort Collins. More travel information is available on CSUBowl.com.

Driscoll also said Wednesday the school's entire marching band, dance team and members of the spirit squad will be traveling to San Diego for the game with Navy, which begins at 7:30 p.m. PT. The marching band, which numbers more than 200 members, will perform during pregame and halftime activities. CSU's marching band will also perform earlier in the week at SeaWorld, as well as aboard the USS Midway during the bowl luncheon for both teams, scheduled Dec. 21.
